I’ve read worse, but I’ve definitely have read better. But Blood Red Road was different and unique and exciting. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, we meet Saba, her twin brother Lugh, her sister Emmi and their father living in Silverlake, a place which reminded me a bit of the movie Mad Max. Honestly, I loved all the characters and every little piece and tidbit about them. Everyone needs read this now. As in an unhealthy, half in love with her golden boy brother who is the best rd ever kind of way.

Ma died nine years ago and it’s just them. She screwed dustlanfs plenty. But it seems fine as far as stories go. The heroine, Saba, honestly takes a bit of time to warm up towards. What a shame it doesn’t reach next books in trilogy.

In the beginning, it was all about survival and tactics, and figuring others out. She’s 9 and skinny and gangly and refuses to be left in “safe places” while Saba goes to find Lugh. In real bood, plans don’t go off without a hitch and people don’t show up at the exact moment you absolutely need them.
